I. Overview of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
The 2CY and KCB gear-type oil pumps are horizontal rotary pumps with a flow rate range of 0.045-30 m³/h, a pressure range of 0.7-20 MPa, and a working speed of 1200-4000 r/min. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, shipbuilding, electric power, grain and oil processing, food, medical care, building materials, metallurgy, etc. They are suitable for transporting lubricants or heavy oil, diesel fuel, and lubricating oil with a temperature below 180°C and a viscosity of 5-1500 cSt. When equipped with copper gears, they can transport liquids with lower flash points. Stainless steel gear pumps can also be produced for transporting beverages and corrosive liquids.
II. Structure of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
The 2CY and KCB gear-type oil pumps mainly consist of components such as a pump body, gears, bearing housings, pressure relief valves, bearings, and sealing devices. They are directly connected to the driving motor via an elastic coupling and installed on a common cast iron base. The pump body, bearing housings, etc., are made of gray cast iron, and the gears are made of carbon steel; they can also be made of copper or stainless steel according to special user requirements. The bearing housing is equipped with a stuffing box chamber for axial sealing. The KCB-300～960 type pumps adopt skeleton sealing devices (the sealing type can also be replaced according to customer needs, for example, mechanical seals), and the bearings are single-row radial ball bearings. The KCB-18.3～83.3 type pumps are composed of two oil-resistant rubber rings and a spacer ring in between; the sealing degree is adjusted by two nuts on the compression cover, and the bearings are copper-based powder oil-impregnated bearings. In addition, all pumps in this series can use flexible graphite as packing, which has good elasticity, high and low temperature resistance, stable chemical properties, and self-lubricating performance. A pressure relief valve is installed inside the pump; when a fault occurs in the pump or the discharge pipeline, or when the discharge valve is mistakenly closed, generating high pressure and high impact, the pressure relief valve will automatically open to release part or all of the high-pressure liquid back to the low-pressure chamber, thereby protecting the pump and the pipeline.
III. Working Principle of 2CY and KCB Gear Oil Pumps
This type of pump is equipped with a pair of rotating gears inside the pump body, one driving and one driven. Relying on the mutual meshing of the two gears, the entire working chamber inside the pump is divided into two independent parts: the suction chamber and the discharge chamber. When the pump operates, the driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate. When the gear teeth transition from meshing to disengaging, a local vacuum is formed on the suction side, and liquid is sucked in. The sucked liquid fills each tooth groove of the gears and is carried to the discharge side. When the gears enter meshing, the liquid is squeezed out, forming high-pressure liquid and discharged outside the pump through the pump's discharge port.
