YJ-5009AVolatile Base Nitrogen Analyzer (semimicro Kjeldahl method) is an instrument developed in accordance with the device requirements of the first method (semimicro Kjeldahl method) in the national standard "National Food Safety Standard - Determination of Volatile Base Nitrogen in Foods" (GB5009.228—2016). Volatile base nitrogen is an alkaline nitrogen-containing substance such as ammonia and amines produced by the decomposition of proteins in animal foods during putrefaction due to the action of enzymes and bacteria. Volatile base nitrogen is volatile, and after being distilled out in an alkaline solution and absorbed by a boric acid solution, it is titrated with a standard acid solution to calculate its content.
