The operation links of a water plant are independent yet interconnected. Therefore, when the PLC automatic control system developed by our company is applied to a water plant, it is also necessary to set different control stations according to different process links.
During water quality treatment, the dosing system of the PLC automatic control system uses PLC to collect signals such as instruments and streaming current for control. By collecting and processing the collected signals, it analyzes whether the dosage is appropriate, and then controls the dosage through a metering pump. Under different circumstances, the parameters of raw water vary, and the methods of streaming current and sediment turbidity detection can reflect the specific situation of water quality. Therefore, the following data need to be used as references in the dosing system of the PLC automatic control system: When adding flocculants, secondary detection of water quality is required. For example, use a streaming current meter to detect the effect after adding flocculants, and then consider whether to continue dosing after comparing with the standard value, so as to minimize the use of chemicals on the premise of ensuring clean water quality. When a water plant transports water to the outside, the water pressure changes. The pressure loss in the pipeline varies with the water supply, and the larger the water supply, the greater the pressure loss. In order to reduce losses and meet most users' demand for water pressure, real-time tests at multiple test points are required to ensure water pressure. When insufficient water pressure is detected, the water pressure should be increased in time to ensure user satisfaction. The PLC automatic control system of the water pump station calculates based on the pressure required to ensure normal water supply at the water outlet, collects the water pressure at the output end, and automatically adjusts the water pressure that the water pump station needs to output through an algorithm, so as to ensure that the outlet water pressure reaches a certain value, avoiding frequent startup and shutdown, and also reducing energy consumption.
The constant water level control and flushing control of the filter are the key to filter control. Since manual operation is too complicated, most water plants use PLC control technology for control, which allows the filter to be cleaned better. The automatic filter control automatically collects the losses during the operation of the filter through the PLC automatic control system, and adopts constant water level filtration through calculation. When the filter needs to be flushed, the system can automatically judge whether cleaning is required, and then execute the cleaning command. The on-duty staff only need to perform remote control to complete the filter cleaning.
