Tellurium bronze material, U.S. ASTM standard grade C14500, is a high-conductivity, free-cutting copper alloy material successfully developed by the United States in the 1960s to meet its industrial development needs, filling the gap in closely processed copper alloy materials. Tellurium copper alloy combines excellent machinability with superior electrical and thermal conductivity, along with corrosion resistance and electrical erosion resistance. It has good hot and cold working properties and can be forged, cast, extruded, drawn, stamped, and molded.
An alloy of tellurium and copper, tellurium copper containing 0.4-0.7% tellurium has good machining performance; copper telluride containing 50% tellurium and 50% copper is used as a master alloy.
