I. Treadmill External Structure and Basic Safety Tests

1.1 Overall Machine Stability Test

Testing Standard:

According to EN957-1 safety regulation basic requirements: Tester height 1750mm±50mm, weight 100KG±5KG, tilt 10° in the direction of movement, tilt 5° in the non-movement direction, normal movement within 80% of the equipment's movement range, both the equipment and the person should not tip over. (EN60335 If the equipment can be folded and stored vertically, this method should be applied, aiming to prevent sudden tipping that could harm children during the vertical storage process.)

Testing Method:

Use a 100KG tester to perform stability tests on a test platform tilted 10° in the movement direction and 5° in the non-movement direction, then fold the equipment for stability testing.

Testing Tools:

2m×2m adjustable tilt inspection platform, human tester over 1750MM tall and weighing 125KG

1.2 Overall Machine External Safety Structure Test

Testing Standard:

According to EN957-1 safety regulation basic requirements:

1. All edges and sharp corners that are easily contacted by humans must have a rounded corner with R≥2.5MM, and other easily contacted edges must be polished and protected.

2. The ends of the equipment's tubes should be capped or blocked by other parts of the equipment for protection, ensuring that the caps remain in place without falling off after durability testing. If there is a possibility of falling off during movement, the pull-out force should be ≥70N (EN957-1.6.6 Determination of pull-out force for detachable grips).

3. EN957—1.5.4 Adjustment and Locking Mechanisms: When tested according to 6.1.2 and 6.1.4, the adjustment devices of the training equipment should operate safely, be secure, conspicuous, and easily accessible. Inconspicuous adjustment devices should be excluded, and adjustment components must not affect the user's range of motion. Weight adjustment pins should have fail-safe devices, and the function of any locking mechanism should be very clear.

4. EN957-7.5.2.2 Transmission and Rotating Parts: Drive belts, rear rollers, brackets, and the gap between the rear roller/belt and the ground should be protected. The width of the toe guard should be wider than the rear roller, and the tilt angle of the toe guard should be between 0—15°C. During testing according to EN957-7.6.1, the following should not occur: (insert the test probe at the entry point to see if it bends), the test probe being drawn into the gap between the rear roller and the drive belt, or into the gap between the toe guard and the running belt.

Testing Method:

Visual inspection, use R gauges to measure whether the chamfers on the tube ends and easily contacted parts of the equipment could potentially harm the user.

Observe whether the caps of the treadmill fall off during durability testing and when dragging the equipment, use a pointer-type dynamometer to test the maximum pull-out force of the caps (test the pull-out force of the treadmill's rear foot guard).

Use a test probe to check if it could be drawn into the gap between the rear roller and the running belt, or into the gap between the rear foot guard and the running belt. The rear roller and the lateral reinforcement tube of the running frame should not draw in fingers, and toes should not be drawn into the side strips on both sides of the treadmill during movement.

Testing Tools:

Pointer-type dynamometer, R gauges, test probe

1.3 Safety Distance Test for Easily Accessible Parts of the Overall Machine

Testing Standard:

According to EN957-1 safety regulation basic requirements:

Easily accessible parts refer to: handgrip areas, shear points, rotating and reciprocating parts.

1. The distance between moving parts related to fingers and rigid parts should remain unchanged during movement and should be ≤8.6MM.

2. The distance between moving parts related to hands and rigid parts should be ≥25MM.

3. The distance between moving parts related to feet and rigid parts should be ≥60MM.

4. EN957-6.5.2.1 For equipment with adjustable elevation angles, when the distance between any part of the equipment and the ground is less than 60MM, the rate of change of the elevation angle must not exceed 1°/second. The user should be able to immediately shut down the equipment.

Testing Method:

Use a vernier caliper or test fingers to test each item one by one.

1. The gap between the handrails when the treadmill is folded, and the gap between the treadmill during operation and the main frames on both sides.

2. The gap between the foot and the rear foot guard during movement.

3. The height of the lowest point of the treadmill when it contacts the ground.

Testing Tools:

Vernier caliper, tape measure, test fingers, stopwatch

1.4 Handrail Device

Testing Standard:

According to EN957-6.5.8 testing requirements:

The treadmill should have side handrails and a front handrail for user support and emergency escape. One of the following structures can be chosen:

1. One front handrail

2. Two side handrails

Or both of the above.

The front handrail should: have a minimum width (running belt width + 50MM) equal to the width of the front roller's longitudinal axis.

Height: 800mm---900mm

The maximum width of the two side handrails is 900mm (distance from the center of one handrail to the center of the other).

The length of each side handrail should be no less than 30% of the length of the运动面 "1".

3. EN957-1.5.7 Handle Test

5.7.1 Integrated Handles

When tested according to 6.1.2 (visual inspection), integrated handles should be marked with installation positions (general purpose) and have a textured surface to prevent slipping.

5.7.3 Rotating Handles: Rotating handles should have mechanical locking devices and a textured surface to prevent slipping.

When tested according to 6.6 (using a rod to properly clamp the handle and apply torque):

Torque size:

Class H: 50N.M, Class S: 75N.M

Testing Method:

Visual inspection and use a tape measure to check the relationship between the front handrail, side handrails, and the drive belt width of the treadmill to see if it meets requirements.

Use barbell plates to test the torque of the handrails. (Test the pull force between the handle and the foam grip sleeve according to the company's standards.)

Prepare a pair of test shoes for friction coefficient testing, place a 10N standard weight on the test shoes, and use a pointer-type dynamometer to slowly drag the test shoes to test the friction coefficient of the side strips on both sides of the treadmill.

Testing Tools:

Tape measure, test shoes, pointer-type dynamometer

II. Overall Machine Fatigue Life and Temperature Rise Tests

2.1 Fatigue Life Test

Testing Standard:

According to EN957-7.6.7 test:

Use a car 155/13 (air pressure 1.5bar), 75KG (equivalent mass, including)

Drop height: 10MM Frequency: no less than 30 times/minute

Steps: At 66% of the drive belt length from the rear of the drive belt, adjust the treadmill to a medium incline position, and use drop impact on the running belt longitudinal axis:

1. Class H: 12000 times at 8KM/H

2. Class S: 100000 times at 12KM/H

After testing, all components of the equipment should show no abnormalities.

Test the maximum运动负载量 of the treadmill: Treadmill运动速度: 8KM/H, add several testers weighing over 100KG on the running board until the treadmill can no longer operate normally, test the maximum load运动量 of the treadmill.

Testing Method:

Manual fatigue test: Tester weight 125KG, treadmill test speed: 8KM/H, after 12000 fatigue tests, the treadmill should have no abnormal noise.

Laboratory machine test: Under the treadmill test stand, use a car (equivalent weight 140KG) to free-fall impact the running board from a height of 40MM—50MM at a frequency of 30 times/minute. After continuous fatigue testing for 100 hours, the treadmill should not be damaged, circuit components should not be burned out, main components should have no significant abnormal noise, the circuit board should work normally, and the running board should have no obvious indentations.

After continuous fatigue testing for 300 hours, the running board, running belt, and belt should not break, the motor shaft should not be deformed, the motor should work normally, the bearings inside the front and rear rollers should not散落, there should be no significant abnormal noise, and the roller shaft should not wobble.

2.2 Temperature Rise Test

Testing Standard:

According to EN957—7.5.2.3 temperature rise test:

When tested according to 6.2:

(Check according to 6.7:

Class H: 30 minutes

Class S: 60 minutes)

The temperature rise of the affected parts should not exceed 65°C.

Testing Method:

Laboratory testing method:

Use a car to free-fall impact the running board from a height of 30MM—40MM at a frequency of 30 times/minute. Record the laboratory room temperature and the initial temperature of the main components of the treadmill before testing. After 60 minutes of testing, record the highest temperature of the tested components.

Then, record the temperature rise of the main electrical components of the treadmill every 1-2 hours, record the changes in current and voltage when impacting the running board, and document until the treadmill testing is completed.
