Product Description
High purity helium gas is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless inert gas that exists in a gaseous state at room temperature. It has the lowest critical temperature and is currently the most difficult gas to liquefy found in nature. High purity helium gas is extremely chemically inert, neither combustible nor supportive of combustion. The helium content in the air is about 5.2 parts per million. Theoretically, it can be extracted from the air, but due to its extremely low concentration, the separation cost is very high. Industrially, helium gas is mainly separated and refined from natural gas with a helium content of about 0.5% to 4% from countries such as the United States, Russia, Algeria, and Qatar to obtain high purity helium gas. To understand the price of high purity helium gas, pay real-time attention to Newrad Special Gases. After liquefaction, it is transported nationwide via sea freight. Utilizing the low boiling point of liquid helium at -268.9°C, liquid helium can be used for ultra-low temperature cooling. In applications of superconductors, which are widely focused on in fields such as maglev trains, helium gas is indispensable. Additionally, due to its chemical inertness and being lighter than air, high purity helium gas is commonly used as the filling gas for airships or advertising balloons, a use that is also well-known. In breathing gas mixtures for ocean development and for cooling superconducting electromagnets in medical MRI equipment, high purity helium gas is widely applied: military industry, scientific research, petrochemicals, refrigeration, medical, semiconductors, pipeline leak detection, superconductor experiments, metal manufacturing, deep-sea diving, high-precision welding, optoelectronic product production, etc. Newrad Special Gases offers competitive prices for high purity helium gas!

Properties of High Purity Helium Gas
High purity helium gas is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-combustible high-pressure gas stored in cylinders. The pressure is typically 15 MPa. When in use, it should be减压 using减压器 such as YQY-12 or 152IN-125 before use. Before use, check for leaks in the gas pipelines with soapy water to ensure the gas pipelines are leak-free.
Ensure that helium does not leak and that the workplace remains ventilated. When the helium content increases causing the oxygen content to drop below 19.5%, patients may first experience rapid breathing, lack of concentration, and ataxia; followed by fatigue, irritability, nausea, vomiting, coma, convulsions, and even death.
All packaged cylinders have a service life. Cylinders that have reached their expiration date must be sent to the relevant departments for safety inspection before they can continue to be used.
When each cylinder of high purity helium gas is used to the end, the residual pressure in the cylinder should be maintained at 0.5 MPa, with a minimum of not less than 0.25 MPa residual pressure. The cylinder valve should be closed to ensure gas quality and usage safety.
During transportation, storage, and use, bottled high purity helium gas should be classified and stacked, and must not be靠近明火 and heat sources. It should be kept away from fire, oil, wax, direct sunlight, heavy throwing, and impact. It is strictly prohibited to perform arc welding or electric arc on the cylinder body, and rough handling is strictly forbidden. For short-distance movement of helium cylinders, use专用手推车 designed for cylinders; for long-distance movement, use危险品运输车辆 for transportation.
The temperature of liquid helium is -268.9°C, and contact with skin can cause severe frostbite.

High purity helium gas is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic inert gas under normal temperature and pressure. It does not burn. It is slightly soluble in water and organic solvents. At a pressure of 101.325 kPa, its solubility in water is 0.00901 ml/g (0°C), 0.00834 ml/g (30°C), 0.00887 ml/g (60°C). At 20°C and 101.325 kPa, its solubility in some organic solvents is: 31.3 ml/L in methanol, 28.1 ml/L in ethanol, 30.9 ml/L in acetone, 18.0 ml/L in benzene. Helium is the lightest gas after hydrogen,易于扩散 and渗透, with stable chemical properties, hence it is commonly used as a leak detection gas.
