As the pigs eat, the lever returns to its position, closing the feed plug and temporarily stopping the discharge. Once the feed is consumed, the pigs push the lever again to release more feed until they are full. This greatly reduces the labor intensity of breeders, avoids waste, lowers costs, and increases efficiency.
