Octanol

Primarily used in the production of plasticizers, extractants, stabilizers, and used as an intermediate for solvents and fragrances. In the field of plasticizers, octanol generally refers to 2-ethylhexanol, which is a bulk raw material produced on a million-ton scale and is far more valuable industrially than n-octanol. Octanol itself is also used as a fragrance, blending with floral scents such as rose and lily, and as a soap fragrance. This product is approved as an edible flavoring agent under China's GB2760-86 regulations. It is mainly used to formulate flavors for coconut, pineapple, peach, chocolate, and citrus-type essences.
