Trisodium phosphate

Sodium phosphate, with the chemical formula Na₃PO₄, is a type of phosphate. It is prone to deliquescence and efflorescence in dry air, forming sodium dihydrogen phosphate and sodium bicarbonate. In water, it almost completely decomposes into disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium hydroxide. In the electroplating industry, it is used to prepare surface treatment degreasing solutions and alkaline detergents for unpolished parts. In synthetic detergent formulations, due to its strong alkalinity, it is only used in highly alkaline cleaning agent formulations, such as automotive cleaners, floor cleaners, metal cleaners, etc.
