Sodium thiosulfate, also known as sodium hyposulfite, hypo, or photographic fixer, is a common thiosulfate with the chemical formula Na2S2O3. It is the product of replacing one oxygen atom in sodium sulfate with a sulfur atom, resulting in oxidation states of -2 and +6 for the two sulfur atoms respectively.
