Explosion-proof pipeline heaters are heating equipment specifically designed for flammable and explosive environments, primarily used in hazardous settings such as chemical, petroleum, and military industries. They safely heat fluid media through the principles of fluid thermodynamics.
Working Principle
Low-temperature fluid media enter the heater inlet under pressure, flow along specific internal channels, and absorb heat generated by electric heating elements, ultimately producing high-temperature media that meets process requirements at the outlet. The core mechanism involves automatically adjusting power output via temperature sensors and incorporating overheat protection devices to prevent excessive temperatures.
Explosion-Proof Design
Utilizes explosion-proof enclosures, positive pressure protection (maintaining internal pressure at least 50Pa higher than external pressure), and anti-static materials. Some models are also equipped with purging and replacement systems that use inert gases to displace internal combustible gases, ensuring safety.
Application Scenarios
Suitable for heating liquid media such as crude oil, thermal oil, and process water, as well as gases (e.g., nitrogen, water gas). They meet explosion-proof requirements for high-pressure environments like storage tank circulation systems and offshore platforms.
