Single-head submersible electric heating tube
Other Products
A single-head submersible electric heating element is a thermal component designed for underwater heating. Its core structure and working principle are as follows:
Structural Composition
It mainly consists of a metal tube (stainless steel or copper), a spiral electric heating alloy wire (nickel-chromium/iron-chromium alloy), magnesium oxide filler, and silicone sealing components. The metal tube serves as the outer shell, providing insulation and thermal conductivity protection. The spiral resistance wire generates heat when electrified, while the magnesium oxide filler performs both heat conduction and insulation functions.
Working Principle
Based on Joule’s law, heat is generated when electric current passes through the resistance wire. The heat is uniformly transferred to the water through the metal tube and magnesium oxide filler. Typical applications include heating scenarios such as nitrate tanks, water tanks, and oil tanks.
Applicable Scenarios
Suitable for heating conventional liquid media like water and oil, with a maximum operating temperature of up to 350°C. In corrosive liquid environments, it is important to ensure the medium temperature does not exceed 60°C.
Key Features
Corrosion Resistance:Made of stainless steel or copper, it can resist certain levels of acid and alkali corrosion.
Sealed Design:Silicone seals at both ends ensure waterproofing and leak prevention.
Safety Performance:The magnesium oxide insulation layer effectively prevents electrical leakage.
