IV. Structure and Working Principle of the Instrument

(I) Composition

1. Casing: Adopts a steel frame structure, aluminum silicate insulation layer, and stainless steel outer shell, ensuring sturdiness and durability.

2. Roller: Utilizes high-quality metal materials for the roller and frame, offering lightweight construction and smooth rotation.

3. Heating System: Heated by two 700W heating tubes.

4. Power System: The motor drives five rollers via sprockets and chains, ensuring stable and reliable transmission with low noise.

5. Electrical Control: The temperature control section employs intelligent display, direct working setting and control, accurate automatic constant temperature control, automatic disconnection of heating power upon temperature exceeding limits, and audible and visual alarms. The timing section enables timed shutdown with automatic prompts.

(II) Working Principle

Its working principle and performance are entirely designed according to the American API standard. It simulates the slow circulation speed of drilling fluid in the downhole annular space to study its characteristics during heating and rolling.


V. Operation of the Instrument

1. Confirm that the voltage matches and the power supply is reliably grounded.

2. Connect the power supply and turn on the circuit breaker switch on the front side of the electrical box. The temperature display window shows the current temperature inside the heating furnace. Start the motor switch to rotate the roller inside the furnace for sample stirring. Allow the motor to run idle for several minutes to ensure normal sound and speed. After preparation is complete, normal operation can begin.

3. Temperature Setting: Turn on the heating switch (1). The "First Display" window shows the actual temperature inside the roller furnace. Press the "Up/Down" keys to set the temperature in the "Second Display" window. The maximum operating temperature of the roller furnace is 240°C (300°C for XGRL-4A). When the temperature approaches the set value, the system enters automatic constant temperature control mode. To ensure more uniform temperature distribution inside the heating furnace, turn on the blower switch (4) during heating.

4. Timer Setting: After starting the "Timer Switch," the display window shows the time. Press the "+" or "-" keys to set the timing duration.


VI. Maintenance and Care of the Instrument

1. When moving, repairing, or maintaining the instrument, handle it gently to avoid deformation of components, which may affect precision and usage.

2. After each use, promptly clean the inner chamber of the roller furnace and store it in a dry environment.

3. Regularly lubricate the sprockets and chains.
