1.1 Applicable Standards
The battery crush testing device complies with the requirements for crush and puncture tests specified in standards such as GB 36267-2018, GB 31241-2014, GB8897.4-2002, GB/T18287-2000, IEC60086-4: 2000, IEC62133: 2002, UL1642: 2006, SN/T1413-2004, SN/T1414.3-2004, etc.

1.3 Test Requirements
Among the above standards, the requirements for battery crush tests vary slightly. The battery crush testing device must meet all the following test requirements:
1) The battery is crushed between two planes. The crushing force is applied via a servo motor and worm screw lift, with an applied force of 13 kN. Pressure is released once the maximum pressure is reached.
2) The crushing equipment must be capable of providing a crushing force of 13,000 ± 20 N across the entire test surface of the battery. Designed according to customer requirements: Crushing method: A: The bottom surface is a flat plate, and the top surface is an R7.9 steel structure that crushes the battery radially. The circular surface is perpendicular to the battery axis, and crushing continues until the battery thickness is reduced to one-fourth of its original diameter. B: The bottom surface is a flat plate, and the top surface is a steel flat plate that crushes the battery vertically until a force of 13 ± 0.78 kN is reached. The battery is placed between the bottom and top surfaces for crushing.

3) Puncture speed: 10–50 ± 5 mm/s ± 0.1s adjustable. After piercing the battery perpendicular to the battery plates, the needle remains in the battery for 0–9999 seconds (time controllable) and is automatically withdrawn. Easy to install and remove.
