The DDPCA-300 is a low-noise transimpedance amplifier. It features a minimum input noise of 0.2 fA/√Hz and a peak-to-peak noise of 0.4 fA. The gain can be adjusted manually or remotely, ranging from 10⁴ to 10¹³ V/A. As a result, it covers a wide dynamic range of over 240 dB and can handle current values from sub-femtoamperes to milliamperes. Its compact housing allows installation close to the signal source, reducing noise caused by long cable runs. Built-in filters optimize amplifier bandwidth based on signal conditions, and the signal-to-noise ratio and measurement speed can be configured according to the application. Even at maximum gain, the measurement speed is sufficient for real-time femtoampere current measurements. At femtoampere levels, measurement errors and baseline drift may occur due to drift and offset currents, but the DDPCA-300 offers excellent long-term stability and minimizes drift.

Bandwidth, rise time, and integrated input noise values are specified under full-bandwidth low-pass filter conditions. Lower peak-to-peak noise values can be achieved by setting the low-pass filter to 0.7 Hz or 0.1 Hz. Using a 0.1 Hz low-pass filter and a gain setting of 10¹² or 10¹³ V/A enables a minimum peak-to-peak noise of 0.4 fA.
Offset can be adjusted via a trimmer potentiometer. Overload is indicated by an LED or digital control output. The input is protected against ±2 kV transients. Output is short-circuit protected. The power supply uses a 3-pin LEMO socket, and a compatible connector is included with purchase. An optional PS-15 power supply is also available.
