DIN51130 Ramp Test Instrument for Floor Slip Resistance Coefficient Testing
I: Machine Purpose
This equipment is used for type testing of the anti-slip performance of escalator and moving walk steps, tread surfaces, comb support plates, and floor plates. The device features a non-distortable 600mm wide by 2000mm long plate serving as a simulated tilting platform, with an adjustable longitudinal slope ranging from 0° to 45°. A servo motor drives the platform at a specified angular velocity via a lead screw mechanism. Under the operator's control, the angle is incrementally adjusted in 0.5° steps. Before testing, lubricant is applied to both the test surface and the test shoe sole. The operator, wearing protective gear, maintains an upright posture and walks back and forth on the test platform in half-shoe-length steps along the observation direction. The test platform begins tilting from the horizontal position at a rate of 1.0°/s, stopping when the tilt angle is reached. The tilt angle is recorded, and the process is repeated three times to ensure accuracy of the angle values.
