Typically, these accidents can be attributed to insufficient floor slipperiness and lack of anti-slip properties. To prevent such incidents, new floors must undergo slip friction testing. Therefore, GTE developed the GMG, the only device that allows for repeatable and reliable measurement of this physical quantity.

The design of the slip testing instrument GMG200 is based on the integration of measurement mechanics in the sliding body and measurement electronics, using only one system component to achieve an easy-to-handle measurement system. The instrument is equipped with two interchangeable sliders designated for specific sliding materials. The sliders are coded according to their material and are automatically recognized by the instrument.
