Unlike desktop amplifiers, FEMTO's ultra-low noise current amplifiers provide preamplifier modules that deliver gain close to the detector before cable capacitance and noise pickup significantly degrade the signal-to-noise ratio. After signal processing and measurement, the preamplifier has no effect on the signal and noise. To minimize the associated bandwidth and achieve extremely low noise, a very high gain value should be selected.
