Tianrui Air Compressor is generally set to operate at a working temperature of 100°C. When the temperature reaches 110°C, the temperature warning light begins to alert, and if it exceeds 120°C, the system will automatically shut down. There are several reasons that may lead to poor ventilation and heat dissipation in the equipment. The surrounding environment of the screw air compressor mainly affects heat dissipation in the following situations: being too close to walls or obstacles; the presence of other heat sources near the screw air compressor; and when the front and side doors are open during operation, the fan cannot generate a strong airflow.
The heat dissipation equipment of the screw air compressor may become loose. When cracking occurs, the air compressor will automatically shut down for about 5 minutes due to high temperature and emit abnormal sounds. If the fan blades break, the air volume will decrease, thereby affecting heat dissipation. In such cases, the fan blades should be replaced or adjusted.
The oil filter of the screw air compressor is too dirty. When it is too dirty, excessive resistance to oil flow prevents air from entering the compressor at the normal flow rate, causing the compressor to heat up rapidly due to a lack of heat-dissipating lubricating oil. When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet oil exceeds 0.18 MPa, the filter element needs to be replaced. Heat-dissipating oil can cause the engine surface temperature to be too low. When inspecting the radiator, if the oil level at the lower end of the tube is low, it should be replenished immediately.
The heat-dissipating oil has a low grade or poor quality. Screw air compressors use specialized domestic compressor oil. When other low-grade or problematic oils are used, the viscosity and specific heat may not meet design specifications, leading to excessively high equipment temperatures. The radiator may become clogged. When there is a large amount of dust around the screw air compressor, after prolonged operation, a layer of dust or oil sludge may adhere to the surface of the radiator. For cleaning the external parts of the air compressor radiator, use an air blower. If direct blowing does not clean it thoroughly, use a high-pressure water gun after initial cleaning. For internal cleaning, use specialized chemicals.
The oil cutoff valve of the Tianrui Air Compressor malfunctions (only in larger models). There is a component between the oil filter and the main unit of the air compressor called the oil cutoff valve. When the oil cutoff valve fails to open, the screw air compressor, lacking lubricating oil for heat dissipation, will rapidly increase in temperature after startup and automatically shut down after a few seconds.
The oil-gas separator filter element is too dirty. When it is too dirty, the oil's excessive resistance coefficient affects the circulation system of the equipment, leading to overheating and shutdown. It should be promptly cleaned or replaced. The pressure valve may become stuck. The pressure valve ensures normal lubrication during startup, enables oil-gas separation within a certain time, reduces oil content in the gas, and prevents gas backflow during shutdown. If the pressure valve gets stuck, it can cause increased oil pressure, higher energy consumption, and excessively high exhaust temperature.
Based on the above analysis, when the exhaust temperature is too high, the screw air compressor may experience the following faults: oil separation failure, clogged oil filter, stuck pressure valve, and clogged oil cutoff valve. To ensure the normal operation of the Tianrui Air Compressor, these components should be inspected and addressed in a timely manner, and replaced if necessary.
