Principle of MOPA Fiber Laser Marking Machine
The core components of the MOPA fiber laser marking machine are the Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA), Q-switching, and high repetition rate pulsed ytterbium-doped fiber laser. A highly reliable DC power supply drives a multimode semiconductor laser under the control of a dedicated control card. The 970±10nm laser emitted by the multimode semiconductor laser is coupled into a 5mm metal-sheathed transmission fiber, generating a 1.06-micrometer wavelength laser in the ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber. The laser is continuously amplified during transmission and then expanded and output. The expanded laser beam is projected onto a galvanometer scanner, and the rapid rotation of the galvanometer and the switching of the laser are controlled by a computer, enabling the laser beam to scan in the X and Y directions. The laser is focused by an F-θ lens to form a spot with a diameter of several micrometers, which acts on the workpiece, causing surface ablation and vaporization. Finally, the required graphics and symbols are formed on the workpiece surface.
