Flat cable ribbon cable

Flat cable, also known as ribbon cable, is a flat-shaped conductor formed by combining many wires. Its conductive cores typically adopt a soft structure to ensure excellent flexibility. The insulation and protective layer materials often use polymer compounds, which enhance the cable's flexibility, corrosion resistance, and cold resistance. Some insulated cores are color-coded for ease of installation. Additionally, according to customer requirements, steel wires or other load-bearing elements can be added on both sides of the cable core.

Application Scenarios: Flat cables are used for power connections and control signal lighting in various mobile power devices in industries such as lifting, transportation, machinery, electrical, and mining, with a working voltage of 450/750V and below. They are widely used in metallurgy, power, petrochemicals, electronics, automotive manufacturing, and other industries.

Environmental Adaptability:Flat cables feature heat radiation resistance, cold resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion-resistant gas resistance, and waterproof properties. They can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C, with stable electrical performance in high-temperature (or extremely cold) environments, outstanding anti-aging performance, and a long service life.

Cable Structure: Flexible and easy to install; the minimum bending radius is 10 times the thickness of the cable's smaller side. The finished cable cores can withstand an AC 50Hz, 2.5kV test voltage for 5 minutes without breakdown. The minimum tensile strength of the insulation and sheath is 10N/mm, with a minimum elongation at break of 150%. It shows no cracks during low-temperature winding at -40°C and has a minimum elongation of 20% during low-temperature stretching at -40°C.
