Oil Resistance: For cables in prolonged contact with or immersed in corrosive oil environments, polyurethane-sheathed drag chain cables meet the requirements and can be used for long-term movement and bending in such conditions.
Water Resistance: Signal cables with seawater-resistant polyurethane material as the sheath exhibit excellent waterproof performance and hydrolysis resistance, suitable for prolonged water contact or direct immersion scenarios, such as highly flexible cables for underwater equipment like drag chain cables.
Temperature Range: Polyurethane drag chain cables can withstand instantaneous high temperatures up to 105°C, with a long-term operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C, offering excellent high and low-temperature performance.
Mechanical Resistance: Compared to elastomeric nitrile, polyurethane sheath material provides superior mechanical resistance, enabling long-term cyclic movement and bending with equipment, suitable for higher speeds and acceleration scenarios and environments.
Conductor: Typically made of multi-strand ultra-fine finely stranded oxygen-free copper wire. Downhole Geophysical Signal Cables, polyurethane shielded signal cables, etc., use this type of conductor, complying with VDE0295 CLASS6 standards.
Insulation: Shielded downhole geophysical signal cables use special imported waterproof materials; polyurethane shielded signal cables can use special PVC blends or TPE for insulation, with diverse insulation materials (customer selectable).

Bending Radius: The bending radius also varies depending on the cable type and installation method. Generally, for fixed installations, the bending radius is often 5× the cable outer diameter (D); when the travel is ≥10 meters, the bending radius for mobile installations is often 10×D.
