Electrodialysis is an emerging water treatment device that utilizes ion-exchange membranes and a direct current electric field to induce selective migration of ions in electrolyte solutions, thereby achieving desalination, concentration, purification, or refinement of the solution. Currently, electrodialyzers are widely applied in various fields, including water desalination and salt removal, seawater concentration for salt production, refinement of dairy products, deacidification and purification of fruit juices, and the production of chemical products. They are also used in industries such as food and light industry for producing pure water, as pre-treatment for high-purity water in electronics and pharmaceutical manufacturing, primary softening and desalination of boiler feed water, and the conversion of brackish water into potable water.
