• According to the food-grade silicone instructions, use an electronic scale to precisely weigh Component A (silicone) and Component B (curing agent), with common ratios of 1:1 or 100:2.
• Pour Components A and B into a dry mixing cup, and slowly stir in the same direction for 5-8 minutes using a spatula, ensuring no obvious streaks (stirring too quickly may cause bubbles).
• If bubbles appear after stirring, let the silicone sit for 5-10 minutes (natural defoaming), or place it in a vacuum machine for 1-2 minutes (professional operation, preferred for more thorough defoaming).

Silicone Pouring: Pour slowly to avoid bubble retention

• Hold the mixing cup with both hands and slowly pour the prepared silicone along the edge of the mold frame, allowing the silicone to flow naturally and cover the prototype, avoiding direct impact on the prototype to prevent bubbles or displacement.
• Pour until the silicone completely submerges the prototype (the surface should be 0.5-1cm higher than the prototype to ensure uniform mold thickness). If small bubbles appear during the process, gently pop them with a toothpick.

Curing Process: Control time based on temperature

• Place the poured silicone mold in a wind-free and dust-free environment, and cure according to the instructions:
  • Room temperature curing (around 25°C): Usually takes 4-8 hours, with thicker molds requiring up to 12 hours;
  • Heated curing (e.g., 50°C oven): Can be shortened to 1-2 hours (ensure the silicone's temperature resistance to avoid deformation from high heat).
• Do not touch or move the mold during curing to prevent silicone sagging or prototype displacement.

Demolding and Finishing: Remove the prototype and trim excess edges

• After curing is complete (touch the silicone surface—if it is not sticky and has elasticity, it is properly cured), remove the surrounding tape, gently bend the edges of the silicone mold, and slowly extract the prototype from the silicone (for complex prototypes, peel from different directions in stages to avoid tearing the silicone).
• Use scissors or a utility knife to trim excess edges and silicone from the mold edges, ensuring the mold opening is neat and free of residual prototype debris inside.
