1. Prepare Materials and Tools: AB two-component liquid silicone rubber, electronic scale, mixing rod, container, release agent, vacuum machine (optional), master mold (candle prototype), etc.
2. Mix the Silicone: Determine the mixing ratio of components A and B based on the type of silicone rubber, typically 1:1. Use an electronic scale to accurately measure components A and B, pour them into the same container, and then slowly stir in the same direction for 2-3 minutes to ensure thorough mixing.
3. Vacuum Degassing: Place the well-mixed silicone into a vacuum machine for degassing. Do not fill the container too full to avoid overflow. The vacuum process should not exceed ten minutes, as it may affect the fluidity of the silicone.
4. Pour the Silicone: Apply a layer of release agent to the surface of the master mold (if the surface is smooth, the release agent may be omitted). Slowly pour the degassed silicone from one corner of the mold frame to ensure even flow, which helps release trapped air and prevents bubbles in the cured mold.
5. Wait for Curing: The mold will fully cure at room temperature within 4-8 hours.
6. Demolding and Trimming: Once the silicone is fully cured, carefully remove the mold from the master mold to obtain the silicone mold. Trim any excess flash around the edges. If there are small bubble holes, repair them with a small amount of mixed silicone.
7. Rest Before Use: It is best to let the finished silicone mold rest for 24 hours before use to extend its lifespan.
