(1) Brushing Molding Process

For architectural cement models with complex shapes, rich details, and relatively small size, the brushing molding process is often adopted. First, the A and B components of RTV2 liquid silicone rubber are accurately mixed in the specified ratio and subjected to vacuum degassing to remove bubbles from the mixture, ensuring mold quality. Then, a brush is used to apply the mixed silicone rubber evenly onto the surface of the cement model. Generally, multiple layers are applied. After the first layer is brushed on, vacuum treatment is performed to ensure the silicone rubber tightly adheres to the model surface and fills fine gaps. Gauze is then applied to enhance the mold's strength, followed by the application of the second, third, and subsequent layers until the desired mold thickness is achieved. After the silicone rubber has fully cured, it is carefully peeled off from the cement model to obtain a high-precision mold for subsequent batch replication of cement models. For example, when creating molds for replicating small architectural decorative ornaments, the brushing molding process can perfectly reproduce the intricate patterns and shapes on the surface of the ornaments.

(2) Pouring Molding Process

For architectural cement models with relatively regular shapes and larger sizes, the pouring molding process is more suitable. First, the cement model is placed in an appropriate container, with barriers surrounding it to form an enclosed space. Then, the mixed and degassed RTV2 liquid silicone rubber is slowly poured into the container until the cement model is completely submerged. Due to its excellent fluidity, the silicone rubber will automatically fill the space around the model and expel any air. During the curing process, it is essential to ensure a stable environment and avoid vibrations. After curing is complete, the container is opened, the barriers are removed, and the cement model with the mold is taken out. After demolding, the mold is ready for batch production. For instance, when replicating cement models of large architectural structural components, the pouring molding process can efficiently and accurately produce molds to meet production needs.
