AB platinum liquid silicone rubber is a two-component addition-cure liquid silicone rubber. Component A is typically vinyl-terminated polysiloxane, while Component B contains a platinum-based catalyst and silicone oil crosslinker. During use, Components A and B are mixed in precise ratios, commonly 1:1 or 10:1. At room temperature or under appropriate heating, the platinum catalyst promotes an addition reaction between the hydrogen-containing silicone oil and the vinyl groups in the base polymer, transforming the liquid into a highly elastic solid silicone rubber.
