- Ratio Control: The ratio of silicone rubber components A and B varies, commonly 11:1 (Component A: base rubber; Component B: curing agent). It must be weighed accurately according to the instructions, as ratio deviation can lead to incomplete curing or failure to meet hardness standards.
- Mixing Requirements: Pour Component B into Component A and stir in the same direction with a glass rod for 5-10 minutes, ensuring no obvious streaks or bubbles (if bubbles form during stirring, let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow bubbles to rise naturally, or use a vacuum machine for degassing).
3. Pouring and Curing
- Pouring Method: Slowly pour the mixed silicone rubber into the fixed master mold cavity (the master mold must be clamped in advance to avoid displacement during pouring). The pouring speed should not be too fast to prevent air bubbles from being trapped.
- Curing Conditions: Cure at room temperature (25°C) for 4-8 hours. To speed up the process, cure in a 50°C oven for 2-3 hours (note: temperature increase must be gradual to avoid localized overheating causing silicone cracking).
4. Demolding and Finishing
- Demolding Timing: After the silicone rubber is fully cured (no indentation when pressed with a fingernail), slowly peel off the master mold (if the master mold has complex patterns, lift gradually from the edges to avoid tearing the silicone mold).
- Finishing Treatment: Use a utility knife to trim burrs and excess material from the edges of the shoe mold. If there are small bubble holes on the surface, apply a small amount of silicone repair agent to fill them, ensuring the shoe mold surface is smooth.
