How to Use Liquid Mold Silicone Rubber for Making Handmade Soap

1. Mold Preparation: Choose food-grade liquid mold silicone rubber (ensure the product is labeled "safe for food contact"), mix the silicone rubber base and curing agent according to the instructions (typically 1:1 or 100:2, precise weighing required), stir until no visible streaks remain (avoid generating bubbles).
2. Pouring and Curing: Slowly pour the mixed silicone rubber into the master mold of the handmade soap mold (such as an existing plastic/metal soap mold), gently vibrate the master mold to remove bubbles, then place it in a room temperature environment (around 25°C) to cure. The curing time is typically 4-8 hours (refer to the product instructions for specifics). After curing, demold to obtain the silicone soap mold.
3. Soap Pouring: Slowly pour the melted, colored, and scented soap base liquid (or cold-process soap batter) into the silicone soap mold, avoiding bubble formation. If bubbles appear, gently vibrate the mold or use a toothpick to pop them.
4. Demolding and Cleaning: After the soap has completely cooled and solidified (about 1-2 hours for melt-and-pour soap, 24-48 hours for cold-process soap), gently stretch the edges of the silicone mold and peel it off from one corner for complete demolding. After use, rinse the silicone mold with clean water, let it dry, and store it for future use.
