I. Introduction to Liquid Mold Making Silicone
Liquid mold making silicone, commonly known as silicone, is a two-component organic silicone room temperature mold making rubber, abbreviated as RTV1. It is a non-toxic, heat-resistant, highly resilient flexible thermosetting transparent material. Its vulcanization behavior is characterized by low viscosity, rapid curing, shear thinning, and a high coefficient of thermal expansion.

II. Characteristics

Excellent handling performance: Properties can be adjusted according to customer processing techniques, such as brushing or pouring. It has good fluidity, low viscosity, and easy bubble release, allowing it to flow effortlessly into the detailed parts of the model, making it ideal for creating molds of complex shapes.

Low shrinkage rate: Condensation-type silicone can achieve a shrinkage rate of 0.2%, while addition-type silicone can control shrinkage to 0.1%, with linear shrinkage less than 0.1%. This ensures that the molds produced can replicate the prototype with high precision, without dimensional deviations or shape deformations due to shrinkage.

Outstanding physical properties: Strong tear and tensile resistance with excellent resilience. After vulcanization, the silicone mold is less likely to be damaged during product demolding due to pulling. It also maintains stable performance over a wide temperature range, with heat resistance up to 200°C and remaining flexible at temperatures as low as -50°C, providing excellent simulation effects.

Long service life: High number of molding cycles, resistant to acids, alkalis, and aging. Generally, silicone molds made from liquid mold making silicone have a service life of 1 to 2 years, with some high-performance products capable of over 150 molding cycles, significantly reducing mold production costs.
