Pale yellow to brownish-yellow liquid. Boiling point 140-160°C/666.7Pa, relative density 0.996-1.010, refractive index 1.517-1.521, flash point 171°C, soluble in 3-7 volumes of 80% ethanol. Has a mild woody scent with some ambergris and musk-like aroma.
Uses
Can be combined with fresh fragrances for use in modern perfume compositions. Blends well with other woody, balsamic, and mossy notes. Imparts new nuances when used in floral fragrance formulations.
