Application Fields of Injection Mold Processing in Mold Factories
Injection molds are essential process equipment for producing various industrial products. With the rapid development of the plastics industry and the widespread application of plastic products in sectors such as aviation, aerospace, electronics, machinery, shipbuilding, and automotive, the requirements for molds from injection mold factories have become increasingly stringent. Traditional mold design methods used by conventional injection mold manufacturers can no longer meet today's demands. Compared to traditional mold design, computer engineering (CAE) technology offers significant advantages in improving productivity, ensuring product quality, reducing costs, and alleviating labor intensity.
For mold parts with very high hardness, some injection mold manufacturers resort to electrical discharge machining (EDM) when conventional machining methods are inadequate. EDM is also used for sharp corners, deep cavities, and narrow slots in mold cavities. CNC lathes are primarily used for machining standard rod-type mold components, as well as rotary mold cavities or cores, such as those for bottle and container injection molds, and forging dies for shaft and disc parts.
