OMAT electric low-noise cage control valves reduce noise from compressible fluids. To accommodate gas throttling, diffusion, and expansion, the sleeve features numerous symmetrical small holes to lower pressure drop. The valve plug employs a pressure-balanced structure. The fluid passage adopts an S-streamlined design and includes a guide vane to improve balanced fluid flow around the sleeve, resulting in minimal pressure loss, high flow capacity, low noise, anti-cavitation, and resistance to cavitation. The leakage of the control valve complies with the ANSI B16.104 standard.
Control valves are widely used and critically important control devices in industrial production. Their proper operation directly impacts the normal functioning of the entire plant. With the rapid advancement of control valve technology, there are numerous manufacturers and types of control valves, each with different functions. The following highlights common issues to consider during installation and before commissioning various types of control valves.
1. Incoming Inspection Before Installation: Incoming inspection of control valves is a crucial step to verify that the delivered valves meet design requirements. While all technical specifications should align with the design, the following items should be emphasized during inspection.
2. Valve Body/Internal Parts Specifications: This includes valve model, type, nominal diameter, seat size, plug type, flow characteristics, leakage class, body material, plug material, seat material, CV value, flange standard grade dimensions, and sealing face type. Any discrepancy from the design must be confirmed and approved by the design team.
3. Actuator Section: Key items to check include actuator model, type, action type, spring range, and air supply pressure.
4. Signal and Accessories: This involves inspecting signal type, air source pressure, electrical and pneumatic interface dimensions, and explosion-proof rating, which must not be lower than the design requirement.
5. Accessories: Carefully review all accessories as per the design specifications, such as filter regulators, position switches, solenoid valves, handwheel mechanisms, and special tools. Inspection methods include visual checks, measuring instruments, reviewing nameplates, and specialized testing (e.g., spectral analysis for flange and bolt materials).
6. Hydrostatic Testing: Valve body hydrostatic tests include pressure resistance tests and leakage tests with the plug fully closed. Typically, for valves designed for pressures exceeding 10 MPa, pressure resistance tests are necessary to validate the integrity of the valve body and bonnet.
