Application Areas
1. Daily Use Field: AES is an anionic surfactant widely used in soaps, body washes, shampoos, facial cleansers, cosmetics, and skincare products as a cleanser, emulsifier, stabilizer, and thickener due to its low production cost and high emulsifying and foaming properties.
2. Biological Field: AES has good antibacterial properties and is used in the production of disinfectants or antimicrobial agents. The combination of AES and plasma-activated water (PAW) can inactivate Saccharomyces cerevisiae, making it useful in the food industry for preventing and controlling microbial contamination.
3. Medical Field: AES can be used in medicine to prepare acellular scaffolds.
4. Agricultural Field: In pesticide adjuvants, it can be used as a dispersant, emulsifier, wetting agent, penetrant, spray adjuvant, suspending agent adjuvant, and chemical stabilizer. It also enhances the efficacy of pesticides by facilitating adsorption, penetration, and translocation of the chemical solution.
5. Material Field: AES can be combined with substances like PbO₂ to create surfactant-oxide composite electrochemical coatings, improving metal surfaces and enhancing their strength characteristics. It also increases the corrosion resistance of coatings and improves their electrocatalytic activity and conductivity.
6. Construction Field: AES can be used as a lubricant for mechanized tunneling with TBM-EPB (dual-mode shield machines) in the construction industry.
