Stainless Steel Low-Resistance Backflow Prevention ValveHXBXFM-16P Working principle:
The low-resistance backflow preventer consists of a main valve with a two-stage check device and a **-type drainer. The main valve of the dual check device is designed with an equal cross-section flow path and an integrated structure. The valve is equipped with an inlet check device and an outlet check device. The closing sealing force of both check device discs and seats comes from the pressure difference between the outlet and inlet sections. After closing, under normal pressure conditions at both ends, it has a self-sealing function, ensuring that the pressure in the intermediate cavity is zero, forming an air gap between the inlet and outlet sections. The two discs are flexibly connected and interlocked by a connecting rod and an auxiliary spring. The discs are reset by a single main push spring, which does not need to bear the sealing force and pressure difference force of the discs and seats, only overcoming the friction and weight during the closing movement of the discs. Therefore, this main spring can be designed to be softer, ensuring both an air gap when closed and effectively reducing head loss after opening.
Application scenarios of low-resistance backflow preventers:
Low-resistance backflow preventers are mainly used for effective isolation between municipal water supply networks and user networks, or between systems with different water qualities such as domestic water, fire water, air conditioning water, and irrigation water. The main function is to prevent the leakage of poorer quality media from the outlet end to the better quality inlet end when internal leakage occurs after the valve is closed, avoiding backflow contamination. It should be equipped with an internal leakage sensing and drainage引流 device.
Technical features of low-resistance backflow preventers:
1. Small pressure loss and low resistance: At a flow velocity of 2 m/s, the pressure loss of this valve is less than 3 mHg.
2. High reliability. Since the sealing force of the discs and seats of both check devices is achieved through self-sensing of the outlet pressure, the sealing force during check is greatly enhanced, ensuring reliable sealing. Even if both sealing pairs are damaged, the leakage is minimal and quickly discharged by the drainer, ensuring the safety of drinking water.

Installation and Maintenance:
1. For ease of installation and maintenance, and to ensure the normal use of the backflow preventer, a control valve and filter should be installed before the backflow preventer, and an expansion joint (or flexible connector) and control valve should be installed after the backflow preventer.
2. The drain outlet of the backflow preventer's drainer requires an additional引流 pipe, leading to a position ≥100 mm above the sump, with no valves that may block media flow in between; the排污 port size of the sump should ensure smooth drainage.
3. For ease of daily inspection and maintenance, low-resistance backflow preventers should尽量避免 being installed in outdoor pits; it is best to install them indoors with sufficient space, generally with a lower edge ≥300 mm for easy installation and maintenance.
4. Low-resistance backflow preventers can be installed horizontally or vertically. The pipeline media flow direction should match the arrow direction on the main valve body. The test small ball valve on the main valve can face outward for easy inspection.
5. Before installation, the pipeline network must be thoroughly cleaned, and the filter screen in the filter should be regularly cleaned.
