The float ball type steam trap consists of a temperature-differential air vent valve, float ball linkage, and valve seat. For processes with a control valve or solenoid valve at the front end, when the control valve or solenoid valve closes, steam rapidly cools, easily creating a vacuum. A vacuum breaker should be installed to prevent water hammer caused by the sudden opening of the valve due to front-end condensate, which could damage the trap. The top cover has an inspection port, and an inspection valve can be additionally installed to easily check whether the trap is functioning normally. Components are made of stainless steel and hardened chrome steel valve seats, offering wear and corrosion resistance. Not suitable for use with superheated steam. Can discharge large amounts of non-condensable gases during startup. Strong resistance to back pressure, suitable for use in recovery systems. Continuous drainage with low noise. A diffuser can be added to prevent water hammer impact. Must be installed horizontally and not tilted.
