Stainless Steel Rising Stem Flange Gate Valve BZ44W-16P Working Principle

The gate valve's gate moves linearly with the valve stem, known as a rising stem gate valve (also called an open stem gate valve). Typically, the rising stem features a trapezoidal thread that converts rotational motion into linear motion via the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, transforming operating torque into operating thrust. The sealing surface can rely solely on medium pressure for sealing, meaning the medium pressure presses the gate's sealing surface against the opposite valve seat to ensure sealing, which is self-sealing. Most gate valves use forced sealing, meaning when the valve is closed, external force is required to press the gate against the valve seat to ensure sealing integrity.
