The inverted bucket steam trap operates on the principle of density difference between condensate and steam. Its internal structure consists of a lever system connected to an inverted bucket, which overcomes steam pressure to open and close the valve. The inverted bucket, with its opening facing downward, serves as the liquid level sensing component. When the system starts, air and low-temperature condensate are present in the pipeline, and the trap is fully open, allowing rapid discharge of air and condensate, quickly raising the system temperature. When steam enters the inverted bucket, it creates buoyancy, lifting the bucket and closing the valve via the lever. A small hole in the bucket allows automatic air venting. As some steam escapes through the hole and the rest condenses, the bucket loses buoyancy and sinks, opening the valve again. This cycle repeats, enabling intermittent drainage.

Cleaning wire—Stainless steel wire connected to the cover via the bucket vent hole to prevent oil and dirt clogging.

Drain valve—Allows complete evacuation of steam and impurities from the strainer.
