Construction of Fully Enclosed Meat Duck Breeding Greenhouses
Site selection and construction of duck rearing greenhouses: For large-scale duck farming, the greenhouse should be built in a location that is sheltered from the wind, sunny, well-drained, conveniently accessible, close to water sources, and on high, dry ground. To make full use of solar energy, the orientation should be east-west. The greenhouse should be arched, with a height of at least 2 meters, and the length and width should be determined based on the scale of farming. Use welded pipes with a diameter of 25 mm and a wall thickness of 1.35 mm, bent into a semicircular shape as supports, with two pipes forming a set, secured with sleeves of 30 mm diameter and 1.5 mm wall thickness. Choose a suitable breeding environment for building the farm: 1. Ample water supply with gentle water movement. Ducks' daily activities are closely related to water—bathing, drinking, and water-based exercise areas are essential parts of a complete duck house. Therefore, duck farming requires a significant amount of water, and having access to inexpensive natural water sources is crucial to reducing breeding costs. When selecting a site, ample water supply is the primary condition; even during dry seasons, there should be no water shortage. Duck houses are typically built along rivers or lakes, with water surfaces as wide as possible, gentle waves, and water depths of 1–2 meters. If located near busy waterways, avoid the main shipping lanes to prevent excessive disturbance and stress to the ducks.
