Due to their compact structure, each box forms an independent system, allowing for flexible and varied combinations. On one hand, all components can be box-type, meaning both 35kV and 10kV equipment are installed inside the box, forming a fully box-type substation. Alternatively, only the 10kV switchgear can be box-type, with 35kV equipment installed outdoors and 10kV equipment along with the control and protection system installed inside the box. This combination is particularly suitable for the renovation of old substations in rural grid upgrades, where the existing 35kV equipment remains unchanged, and only a 10kV switchgear box is installed to meet the requirements for unattended operation. In summary, box substations do not have a fixed combination mode, and users can freely combine various modes based on actual needs to ensure safe operation.
