Colorless crystal with a camphor-like odor. Relative density 0.979. Boiling point 170°C (decomposition). Freezing point 31.5°C. Refractive index 1.5061. Flash point 32.22°C. Autoignition temperature 680°C. Soluble in alcohol. This product has two isomers, α and β; the α isomer has a freezing point of 33°C, while the β isomer has a freezing point of 19.5°C. Dicyclopentadiene mainly contains the α isomer, with a boiling point of 170°C. Due to the presence of double bonds, this product is prone to addition reactions and self-polymerization reactions.
