Field 10 A Micro-ohmmeter for Inductive and Non-Inductive Resistances
The OM 17 micro-ohmmeter is designed for field use, whether in the workshop or outdoors, serving as a portable instrument with performance comparable to laboratory-grade equipment. Following the OM 16, the OM 17 offers upgraded performance, particularly in inductive resistance measurements: it provides greater autonomy, allowing for longer testing activities (up to 60 minutes) at a continuous current of 10 A, and faster coil resistance current loading (settling time < 2 seconds). It is easy to use, performing 4-wire measurements on both inductive and non-inductive resistances with continuous or pulsed DC current up to 10 A, delivering high accuracy of 0.05% and a resolution of 0.1 μΩ across various ranges, selectable from 5 mΩ to 2.5 kΩ.

All parameters can be programmed directly by the user via the instrument interface or software (LOG OM, optional): measurement current, range, resistance type, units, reference temperature, alarm thresholds and status, and calculations...
The large display of the OM 17 keeps the operator informed in real-time about the measurement itself and the measurement conditions. Any range overrun, open circuit, or low battery detection is indicated by LEDs and displayed messages. Before each measurement, EMF is measured and automatically compensated to enhance accuracy. For non-inductive resistances, one operator is sufficient to perform the measurement, as it is automatically triggered once continuity is established between two points. Users can also set the metal type or its temperature coefficient, reference temperature, and ambient temperature. Ambient temperature can also be measured via an external temperature probe.
The OM 17 is battery-powered, with high storage capacity for 1,000 measurements, readable directly on the display or via the Log OM software. Each measurement terminal ensures protection up to 250 V, while any detected overrange, open circuit, or low battery signal is notified via LEDs and displayed messages.
