The HS3982 Intelligent Battery Activator is a portable device designed for the maintenance and treatment of underperforming individual batteries during routine upkeep. It features three independent operating modes: battery discharge mode, battery charging mode, and battery activation mode. Depending on the specific condition of different underperforming batteries, it can perform capacity tests, low-voltage constant-current charging, or set multiple cycles to repeatedly charge and discharge low-capacity batteries. This process activates the active materials in the battery plates that have become ineffective, thereby revitalizing the battery and enhancing the capacity of underperforming units. The device is also equipped with PC application software, allowing collected data to be uploaded to a computer for various analyses.

III. HS3982 Intelligent Battery Activator Functions
1. Charge/Discharge, Activation, and Curve Display Function
The HS3982 Intelligent Battery Activator offers three main functions: charging, discharging, activation, and corresponding curve displays. Curves are shown immediately after each operation. The right side of the screen displays charge/discharge curves, while the left side shows charge/discharge and activation parameters, including: voltage (current)提示, battery number, internal resistance, discharge/charge current, cutoff voltage, time scale on the horizontal axis, voltage/current scale on the vertical axis, and total discharge time.
2. Curve Playback Function
During charge/discharge and activation operations, pressing the [Return] key can interrupt the process at any time. Only after a valid charge/discharge or activation operation can the various data collected during the process be saved. When saved data is available, selecting the corresponding curve playback序号 will display the desired playback curve. Use the left and right keys to switch between different序号 to view various playback curve waveforms.
3. Data Management Function
This function allows users to manage the measured and controlled data of batteries, including data upload and curve playback.
4. System Upgrade
This function enables online upgrades of the host operating system via USB drive, providing a quick and convenient update process.
IV. HS3982 Intelligent Battery Activator Typical Applications
As is well known, the activator is a device for battery repair and maintenance. After identifying underperforming batteries through testing, an important next step is to restore as much capacity as possible to these batteries. This is where the activator comes into play. In communication units, battery failures are often due to plate crystallization leading to reduced capacity (chemical faults are more common than physical ones, so the activator can be quite effective in repairs). The activator uses high-current charge/discharge cycles to melt crystals and reactivate the chemical substances. Typically, after activation, capacity can be restored to over 90% of the rated capacity. However, it is important to note that not all underperforming batteries can be activated; the activator is only suitable for certain chemical faults. It cannot repair physical faults such as short circuits in the plates.
