Precautions Before Using the Battery

If a few key points are noted, the battery's service life and the duration it powers the customer's fusion splicer can be extended. It is important to avoid exposing the battery to direct sunlight or leaving it in a hot vehicle (including storing the battery in the trunk during summer). Heat sources can rapidly degrade battery performance.

Battery Service Life (Number of Charge Cycles)&bsp;

"Battery capacity" refers to the number of times the fusion splicer can be used after a single charge.

"Battery service life" refers to the total number of charge and discharge cycles the battery can undergo. The total number of cycles is estimated based on the battery maintaining at least 70% of its original capacity after a full charge.&sp;

The battery's service life is influenced by usage methods, environment, settings, and other factors.&sp;

Using the Battery as Required

To extend the battery's service life and maintain the accuracy of the battery indicator, it should be fully charged and then fully discharged at least once every three months.&sp;

If the fusion splicer will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery from the splicer for storage.
