Property and Uses
HEDP is an organic acid type scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor, which can form complexes with iron, copper, zinc and other metal ions, and can dissolve metal oxides on the surface of metal. It can still play a good corrosion inhibition role at 250 ℃, is stable at high temperature, is not easily hydrolyzed, and is not easily decomposed under general light and heat conditions. The acid resistance and oxidation resistance are better than other organic acids (salts). It can form a hexagonal ring complex with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, so it has a good scale inhibition effect and a significant solubility limit effect. When used in combination with other water treatment agents, it shows ideal synergistic effects.
(1) Solid belongs to high-purity products, suitable for cold regions in winter; it is especially suitable for cleaning agents and daily chemical additives in the electronics industry.
(2) It is widely used in industrial circulating cooling water systems such as electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer, and in the scale prevention and corrosion inhibition of medium and low pressure boilers, oil field water, and pipelines. In the light textile industry, it can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals, an oxidant stabilizer and a fixing agent in the dyeing industry, a complexing agent in the cyanide-free electroplating industry, and a carrier in the pharmaceutical industry for radioactive elements.

How to use
The concentration for use as a scale inhibitor is generally 1-10 mg/L, for a corrosion inhibitor it is usually 10 - 50 mg/L, and for a cleaning agent it is typically 1000-2000 mg/L. It is usually used in combination with polycarboxylic type scale inhibitor dispersants. For other industries, the dosage should be determined through experiments.
Packaging and storage
Liquids are packed in plastic drums, each drum weighs 30KG or 250KG; Solids are packed in plastic woven bags with polyethylene lining, each bag weighs 25KG net, and can also be determined according to the user's needs. Store in a cool and ventilated place indoors, keep dry, and the storage period is twelve months.
