Property and Uses

Carbohydrazide is a white crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water but insoluble in alcohols, ethers, and benzene. It has strong reducing properties and is widely used in industry. In water treatment, it can be used as a deoxidizer for boiler water; In the textile industry, it can also be used as a crosslinking agent for elastic fibers, a trapper for formaldehyde, and an antioxidant for pigments such as carotene; Additionally, adding an appropriate amount of Carbohydrazide to soaps containing phenolic bactericides can help prevent discoloration and rancidity. It can replace hydrazine hydrate and oximes. Used as a deoxidizer for boiler water, it has low toxicity, a high melting point, and a deoxidation efficiency far exceeding that of currently used materials, making it an ideal product for safety and environmental protection.

How to use

When used as a boiler oxygen absorber, Carbohydrazide can be placed in water, or its aqueous solution can be used. The dose of 1 mol of O₂ carbohydrazide is 0.5 mol, with an appropriate overdose.
Applicable temperature range: 87.8-176.7°C, and the timing for using Carbohydrazide is after thermal deaeration.
The reaction between carbohydrazide and oxygen is as follows: CON₄H₆+2O₂=2N₂+3H₂O+CO₂

Packaging and storage
