Property and Uses
HEDP·Na2 is an organic acid-based scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces.
HEDP·Na2 can still provide excellent corrosion and scale inhibition at 250°C, is very stable at high temperatures, is not easily hydrolyzed, and is not easily decomposed under general light and heat conditions. It has better acid and alkali resistance and oxidation resistance compared to other organic acids (salts). It can form six-ring complexes with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, thus exhibiting good scale inhibition and significant solubility limiting effects. When combined with other water treatment agents, it exhibits ideal synergistic effects.
HEDP·Na2 is widely used in industrial circulating water systems in power, chemical, metallurgy, fertilizer, and other industries, as well as in medium and low-pressure boilers and oilfield water pipelines for scaling and corrosion inhibition.
In light industry, HEDP·Na2 can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals, a peroxide stabilizer and fixative in the bleaching and dyeing industry, and a complexing agent for cyanide-free electroplating industries.

How to use
As a scale inhibitor, the typical concentration is 2-20mg/L, as a corrosion inhibitor 20-100mg/L, and as a cleaning agent at 1000-2000mg/L, usually used together with polycarboxylate-type scale inhibitors and dispersants.
Packaging and storage
HEDP·Na2 liquid is packaged in plastic barrels, each weighing 30kg or 250kg. The solid HEDP·Na2 is packaged in plastic woven bags lined with polyethylene, with a net weight of 25kg per bag, which can also be determined according to user requirements.
Store in a cool, shaded indoor area; solid storage period is twelve months, liquid storage period is ten months.
Safety protection
HEDP·Na2 is mildly acidic. Pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water after contact.
