Property and Uses

HDTMPA can inhibit the formation of various scale types (such as calcium carbonate scale, calcium sulfate scale, barium sulfate scale, and iron oxide), but in water treatment, it is mainly used to inhibit calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate. Among various organic acids, its calcium carbonate inhibition performance stands out, with a high scale inhibition rate and long-lasting effectiveness, making it especially suitable for extrusion treatment in oilfields. HDTMPA can also be used in boiler water treatment. At room temperature, HDTMPA is a white crystalline powder slightly soluble in water, with a solubility below 5% at room temperature
