I. Performance and Applications

▲ EQ-505 is a high-pH liquid formulation primarily used to remove organic matter, colloids, microorganisms, bacteria, and particulate substances. It is suitable for aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis membranes, hollow fiber membranes, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes. It can shorten mixing time, and higher temperatures enhance its effectiveness. Excellent cleaning performance extends membrane operation time.

▲ This product works well when used in combination with EQ-501; it efficiently removes oil and organic matter from membrane surfaces and is particularly effective at eliminating biological films on membranes. The diluted solution should maintain a pH between 11 and 12.

III, Dosage Instructions

Based on water quality analysis reports and system conditions, calculate an appropriate dosage concentration. Typically, the concentration of this agent in the chemical tank is 2-4%.

IV. Cleaning Instructions

▲ Before cleaning, it is essential to clearly identify the type of contamination affecting the RO membrane elements and the cause of this contamination to ensure targeted treatment;

▲ After cleaning, analyze the cause of contamination and implement corresponding pretreatment preventive measures;

▲ During the cleaning process, the temperature of the cleaning solution must always be maintained within the required range (25-35°C);
▲ The cleaning flow rate should follow the recommendations of the membrane manufacturer or chemical supplier. Additionally, the flow rate and soaking duration should be determined based on the type and extent of membrane contamination (if no recommendation is available, our technical engineers can provide guidance based on the actual system conditions);

▲ For multi-stage RO systems, it is best to clean each stage separately to achieve maximum effectiveness. If the cleaning solution becomes turbid or the pH exceeds the recommended range, prepare a new cleaning solution or replenish the cleaner. Before putting the system back into operation, rinse it thoroughly with RO product water.

※ Packaged in plastic drums, 25 kg or 20 kg per drum;

※ Physicochemical properties are stable. Store in a cool place with a shelf life of 1 year.

VI, Safety and Protection

This product is alkaline. Pay attention to labor protection during operation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
