I. Performance and Applications

1. The main components of the iron ion stabilizer are iron chelating agents and reducing agents. It is primarily used in acidizing operations for oil and gas wells to prevent Fe³⁺ precipitation from damaging the formation.

2. During the acidizing process of oil and gas wells, the acid solution dissolves a certain amount of iron ions from downhole metal tubulars and formation rocks. As the acid is gradually consumed and turns into spent acid, with the pH rising to 2–3, a large amount of Fe³⁺ precipitates and blocks formation pores and throats, reducing the effectiveness of acid stimulation. The iron ion stabilizer prevents the reprecipitation of Fe³⁺ through three aspects: complexation, reduction, and dispersion.

III. Usage

1. The recommended dosage in acid solution is 0.5–1.0%. For formations with particularly high iron ore content, the dosage can be appropriately increased.

2. During the acid preparation process, add the product to hydrochloric acid according to the designed dosage and circulate until uniform. The product has good compatibility with various acid additives, and there are no special requirements for the order of addition.

IV. Packaging and Storage

※ Packed in plastic drums, with net weights of 25 kg, 200 kg, or as required by the customer;

※ Physicochemically stable. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor area. Shelf life: one year.

V. Safety and Protection

This product is weakly acidic. Pay attention to labor protection during operation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
